Voltage stablizers?

Post by warrior » Tue Nov 19, 2013 6:13 pm

I,m fairly sure what people are going to say about these but I want some thoughts on them.

They can be bought in NZ from $60.00 to about $150.00 for the same item from what I can see (pivot raizin brand) They all come with 3-5 grounding wires.

From E bay USA they can be landed here for about $35.00 (from China)

Yes the E bay ones may be fake but who,s to say the NZ ones are not also?

Most people think they are rubbish but also a few people have said they do what they say they do so

A couple of questions.

1. Has anyone tried anything like this?

2. For $35.00 is it worth giving it a go and see if it does do anything?

Thoughts please

total waste of time and money ,all the important electronics are feed negitave from the ecu ie injecters coils ect. if anybody sees an improvment in there car from these they are ether imaging it or there alternater was not grounding properly. running a earth from the alternater to the body is usually more beneficial and cheaper.

im an electrician with 20+ years of experience in cars and wires....

all you have to do is make sure your ground wires and connection points are good between your block and chassis and your ecu and chassis. the ecu and its sensors need a good stable ground to work properly and thats about all that needs to be said.

adding extra bonding wires is just masking the fault(if any) in your factory connections

the only upgrades to the factory wiring i would consider is changing the power feed to the coils via a grunty relay fed off the alternator.there is loads of volt drop in the coilpack power feed. And adding a heated 02 sensor if your car doesnt have one already.
