Dyno Day!!!

Post by tsoob » Wed Oct 30, 2013 9:51 am

Hey guys..

there has been a lot of people asking me to put another dyno day on, so we have set a date and its on!

** Platinum Dyno Day**
Where: Torque Performance (37 Patiki Road, Avondale)
When: Saturday November 30th 2013
$$$$ : $110 for 2 runs and AFR check
What : Dyno, horse power, promo chicks, cool cars etc

"With great power comes great responsibility (and big turbos) !!!"

- Come down to Torque performance for the ultimate horse power show down. Time to put your money where your mouth is and put those Dyno sheets to your mates and let the banter begin.

Its always a good time here, who will take out the Platinum Power award?.

- Last year saw a 51kw (atw) Mighty Ford KA through to near on 600kw of pure Nissan GTR fury.

Let us not forget a good Dyno session is like a doctors check up for your car, keep it healthy, keep it safe.

* Entertainment for the day *

- Live DJ'S (Fatcat DJ's), BBQ's, Hot Promo chicks all the usual goodies from a Platinum & Fatcat Event.

- Starts at 9.00am Sharp.

- $110 gets you 2 runs and your Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) checked.

- Pre registration is a must....

* Late on the day entries will cost you more.

Competitors contact 09 486 5317 OR nick@platinumwheels.co.nz to register.

Day to be held at:

I don't mean to sound rude because I know the days you put on are awesome, but if we aren't interested in DJ's, girls or a BBQ we have to pay for is there any benefit in the price for us compared to a club run day where we might pay $80 or so?

I've tried organising club days (about a year ago)
It's very difficult to do it for $80

Having been to Platinum's events before it's recommended.

I love the platinum wheel guys, it would be a great day and not really worth worrying about a difference of $20

Yeh I appreciate it, just on the fence as I really don't for spending money to see if my car makes 60kw vs if there is something further happening that might make me want to go. Haven't been to one of his dyno days before.

come or don't come.. we will have a huge day as per usual, last 2 dyno days have had over 20 cars run up.

$20 wont break your bank.

Ive taken my starlet to both the previous days, once when practically stock to see what it was making and the next year to see how much power i had gained from my 1500cc engine swap and to make sure my tune i'd done had the right afr's.

Its definitely worth it if you have some big plans in the power department and want to get a baseline, also my stock run told me that my car was running way too rich because of a dirty air filter

Chill  , all I was asking is if there is anything else happening or just whats advertised? I have no interest in anything but the dyno and not having much spending money atm means $20 will break my bank ;)

Noel Simpson Integra 120.2 FWKW
Cameron Grant NSX 176.3 RWKW
Allen Sue Integra 115.2 FWKW

Don't know anything about the cars but these figures seem a bit disapointing.. Im assuming the NSX is the red/black one with a slightly tired engine

Sounds about right for all of those vehicles.

Why no mx5's on the list?

Really? The NSX should have 276HP brand new, at the fly which at 15% power loss(I dont know what the power loss is through MR) would make 236HP which is about right isnt it? And thats not counting age.

Also without knowing the specs on the Integras it would be hard to tell, could be 1800 autos haha

Allen Sue Integra 115.2 FWKW

The engine is bog standard. The start of a project. He only picked the car up last week.
