Whilst in the process of installing a Jackson Racing Boost Timing
Controller on my car I pulled up the carpet to get access to the ECU and
wadda ya know - It's a Mazdaspeed unit. Well at least it's a standard
unit that has been modified by mazdaspeed. It looks the same as a
standard unit but the seals on either side are broken & it has a
Mazdaspeed sticker with the part numbers 9EN618880 & B6STISC2 on it. I
am rather interested in what changes have been made to it. All my
attempts at finding any info on it via the web have failed so I was
wondering if any of you web-searching experts would like a challenge.
I might just have to pop into Waikato Mazda to see if they can be of
assistance (highly unlikely).

..?
hey, I didn't even know they did one. Maybe you don't need that JR
controller after all ...
I know they did an ECU replacement as part of the Spec-C package - the
one which added Individual Throttle Bodies and was rated at 200ps

Thanks for that Jeff, although I already had that info which I download
from the old Japanese Mazdaspeed site before it disappeared. Does anyone
know if there is any way of getting the chip "read" by someone locally
to see what its settings are?
