Hi,
I am interested in purchasing from you the above named item listed
,which i got to know about from an extensive search on the web page. I
am presently residing in indonesia and would like to know if ad is
still valid, the present condition of the item the recent pics and
your least offering price. I would be glad to hear from you
positively.

Regards,

Larry...
Hello,
Thanks for the response and am still interested .So I am okay with the
offer on the CAR as you stated ??? I am located in indonesia, but i want
to present the item to a Cousin of mine, who resides in UK ,who just
got retired from work-service.
The payments will be made via a Certified-check drawn on a US Bank,as
there is a client of mine in the US ,who i can instruct to make-out the
check-payment to you right-away ,He willl be issuing you a certified
cheque for $12,000 ,as soon as you get the cheque and cash it,you will
then be sending the remaining funds to my Shipper to enable him come
for the pick up in your destination and many other things for me ,and
so i'll contact him immediately and get back to you.Meanwhile could you
provide me with the following payment information as follows:

Name the Check should be made payable to:
Address of the recipient:
Phone #:

Concerning the Pick-up,my shipper will then come over to your location
to pick up the CAR from you for delivery, as soon as you recieve the
payments and give your consent.Awaiting your response.
Best regards,
Larry

Ive had some dodgy emails about the plates i was
selling from someone to who English was obviosly a
second language, Wanting to buy it but very tricky to
get info out of. They wouldnt talk to me on the phone
and insisted that "someone" picked up the plates
personally from my house even though they werent even
made yet.
Moral of the story... never trust anyone who
wants to do things over the net "differently" to
normal trading.

It is a standard Nigerian 419 scam, I've updated the email people
receive when posting their forsale items giving a warning. Michael (The
For Sale guy) tells me a number of people are receiving contact from the
scammers once they've placed their ads.

Here are some links showing how the scam works.
