bought a car...

Post by WiM » Fri Dec 30, 2005 12:00 am

I just bought a car today, and it's not a MX-5... Had a Turbo on my
5 in Europe and so I could not easily give up on the quicker
cars...I picked up a Subaru Legacy GT Station Wagon, so twin turbo.
Wonder what is next? Does the Bugatti Veyron not have 4 turbo's?? Mmmh :-)
Think the 5 will just have to wait a little.
Goodnight lads,
WiM (Christchurch)

Hi Wim.
You really do need an MX5 as well. Nothing better than top down motoring
around all those wonderful Canterbury roads, especially Banks Peninsular.
Don't need the turbo with that great handling and balance.
For a bit of trivia, the Veyron can empty its fuel tank in 12 minutes when
driven at full power. Probably nowhere that it's possible to drive it at
full power for 12 minutes though! Yes, it does have four turbos (and ten
radiators to keep it cool).

Hi Jeff,
yeah I made it to NZ and had my first ever Kiwi BBQ for XMas :-)
MX-5 might just have to wait as a HOUSE seems like a better plan for
the moment...
Happy New Year to you all out there ;-)

Nah, we'd been here only 3 weeks and were still living in a hotel when I bought my 5. I didn't have anywhere to store it, so it sat in the hotel park while we looked for somewhere to live :0).
When I saw the car, it was too good a deal to pass up.

Best wishes to all for the New Year.
