I am about to put together a turbo system for a locals car and we are
looking at using a GT2554R (290HP model).

Darryl.. Im using a subaru legacy gt turbo which is an
IHI VF10 turbo. its the same turbine section as the
Mazda GTX VJ20 turbo but with a bigger compressor on
it. i think its in the region of 290Hp also.Ive got a
compresor map somewhere for it.
The 330cc GTX injectors will be maxed out at about 9
psi and 180 odd wheel horse power by my calcs so it
will be interesting to see what it dynos at.. The
Greddy e manage can run extra injectors aswell if i
want more.
cheers

just off the top of my head, id have a look at the
stereo and also alarm connections...and more
importantly the cigareete lighter.
installers like to take feeds off the lighter for
alarms and stereos, and the big nut that holds the
lighter together can come undone and cause the short you describe...
ill have a look at my wiring diags for the car and see
if i can see anything else that may cause it.

Whoops sorry to put you wrong there...
That fuse ONLY feeds the instrument cluster...
Id look for a loose screw in the cluster itself.(Maybe
you could borrow another one to ty it...) Or look for
wiring rubbing on brackets etc behind the cluster. Also
the wires to thefuel/temp/oil pressure sender may be
shorting.
Also i would have a really good look at the wire from
the fuse box to the cluster and see if anyone has
hooked a feed for a stereo or alarm unit... My bet is
i could be a stereo conection in there somewhere.
