MkIII on sale in NZ?

Post by animalmagic » Mon Dec 05, 2005 2:20 am

Just looked at the NZ Mazda website and it only lists a MkII
Turbo...? Anyone have any idea of price range of the MkIII? Any
idea of level of discount may be expected, if any? I'm in UK, so
it's not that convenient to phone a dealer! :-)

MkIII on sale in NZ?

Post by Grant » Mon Dec 05, 2005 7:48 pm

According to the listing in the December 2005 issue of NZ Autocar magazine,
the NC is $44,950.00 for the standard and $46,950.00 for the Ltd version.
Add $2000.00 for the auto option. The difference between the standard and
Ltd is (I think) that the Limited adds leather seats, cloth roof, and Bose
stereo system.
The New Zealand version does not have the traction control fitted to the UK
one. Don't know what other differences there are.
As for discount, I have no idea. I haven't been in the market for any new
vehicles since the late 1970's.

Hi Terry,
If you look at the For Sales on the club website, www.mx5club.co.nz one of
the dealers had some special pricing listed a week or so ago. Page 3 of the
list. Vince.

Ok so our 2002 Ford Mondeo is showing early signs of
clutch slippage on hill starts. So i go to our local
dealer who tells me that a clutch kit is $580, plus
labour of $380, oh and i forgot...a new flywheel at
$1200 bucks,
they didnt mention the new realease arm which is
$250. so that comes to a grand total of...

$2410.00

WHAAAAAAAT? i only paid $10k for the car!!!
Ford service said they replace the flywheel regardless
of condition when doing clutch jobs...sounds dodgy to
me.
Can any one please tell me of a reputable clutch
specialist that would have knowledge of the ford
mondeo and its "dual mass" flywheel, so i can tell Mr
ford dealer to stick thier parts up thier
