Roll bars : GET OVER IT !!!!!!

I agree Ian, but a real sports car must be red... look at Ferrari,
never seen a green one

I am amazed that people can shoot down a thread
like this that covers
what (for some) is a interesting topic (or at
least a reasonable
question from a new user) - but are happy to
have HUGE threads on why
red is faster than BRG.
I must agree, in any mailing there will be things
that are of no
interest to some people but are of intense
interest (bordering on
religious fervour) to others.

And although whether red or BRG is faster may be
debatable, there is
no debate that BRG has soo much more style than
red :-)

At the risk of sounding like a turncoat, I own a red MX, and always
liked the BRGs because that was the classic BRITISH sports car
colour... the Lotus, the MG etc. Since the MX had more of its roots
in the British sports car industry (just adding drop dead reliability
etc) I think that for Mazda to use BRG was an inspired choice. While
red is also a classic sports car colour, the MX hardly had its design
roots in the overblown firecracker sound of a Ferrari or the odd
shapes they make. This car is a Japanese / American hybrid born from
a Lotus Elan.

Bug ger, they do exist in green! LOL *running for cover* hahahaha!

BTW my father drives a BRG 97 MX-5 and I love it too, but my
favourite colour for a 5 is not BRG, nor is red, but yellow...
