world record attempt
Hi MX5ers South of Jafaville
If anyone is coming up to the event and doesn't know how to get to Mazda, then
I can meet you behind BP at the Bombay/Pukekohe offramp and we can convoy in
from there. I suggest 9am at BP , leave at 9:15 sharp which should get us to
Mazda comfortably before 10am, subject to motorway crashes, general heavy
traffic and being able to get as many cars as possible through the traffic
lights in convoy.
Let me know what you think
Regards
Ian Bell

That's a good idea Ian
I can do the same from the North, or for that matter we could organise a
convoy from the North anyway, perhaps meeting up somewhere at the North end of
Orewa at about 0845, with an enroute stop at the TelstraClear/Smales Farm
carpark to meet North Shore people.
Any one think this is a good idea?
Eric

Eric,
Good idea.
Question - have the people who are able to commit R.S.V.P'ed to
eileenl@donovanboyd.co.nz as well as commenting to this list?
(You will need to provide your vehicle registration, name and telephone
number in order to submit the world-record claim to the Guiness Book of
Records so please have these on hand when you RSVP)
Chris

For those coming from the northern area, take the Te Irriangi exit, turn
right and go straight ahead across Gt South rd, straight ahead through 1
roundabout to get to the Plunket Ave roundabout. Mazda is on the left.
For those coming from the south, take the Manakau exit, turn right into Gt
North rd, left into
Wiri Station rd, Plunket ave is on the right about 1.8Km down Wiri Station
rd. (Mazda is 1Km along Plunket ave on the right).
( I was in the area for the elections)

I got a reply from Eileen when I registered, indicating she has had
registrations from Hamilton, Tauranga and Wellington as well as Auckland.
How is this being promoted? It is only through this list and the club web
page that I got to know about it.

As far as I know, all club members should be getting an invitation by mail,
ours arrived yesterday. Other than that and the website, I'm not sure if it
is being promoted by any other means. Maybe that's something to ask Eileen
when we register. Cheers, Vince.
