advice on MX5 servicing in Auckland

Post by clare barrie » Tue Jul 12, 2005 4:56 pm

Hello, this is my first venture onto the MX5 mailing list.

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Auckland for servicing an MX5? I am
not at all a car tech person and neither is my husband, and we are looking
for a workshop which will reliably take care of all the basics without
cutting corners or overcharging.

We imported a 1997 MX5 ourselves from Japan in January; it has done 69k and
has been serviced regularly in Japan by its two previous owners according to
its record, but this will be its first servicing in NZ. It has run perfectly
since it came off the boat with 62k, but we would like it to have a thorough
checking over.

All advice welcome! Many thanks.
