Good point Carl, but it always stirs up some fun, mind you you're probably
lucky, if your BRG is wearing a bit thin then it's the perfect time to paint
it decent colour... oops out loud...
Good article about the stereo wiring David... but the brake brace... now
let me think... " I took Gazza's s! uggestion and welded a triangle-shaped
gussett piece" (sic) ((see zorruno, got to use it already, sorry folks
private joke))... Anyway since when did 'suggestion' when looked up in the
dictionary mean 'COPY'
And also zorruno's point about the earth on the light circuit is very valid
indeed, I must confess to having connected to that one more than once in the
various cars. But at least now I know to test first with a meter, I even had
one on my Celica that didn't become live until the lights and ignition were
on together, how strange is that. In the end it turned out to be a signal to
the "lights are on but car not running" Japanese Voice from the computer.

Ooops, I did it again ...
I thought it was quite clear, I took (stole) your suggestion. Does that not imply a certain amount of copying? Just as, for example, if I were to make a suggestion that said brace be powder-coated matt black and someone else where then to copy my suggestion and have their brace coated as well.
By the way, I do have a brake cylinder brace that has had value added by being coated black. I would be prepared to swap this brace shaped layer of black for a something of equal value.
