Anyone use Kumho tyres? Found a good local outlet and wondered if they were
worth buying.

Tyres
Tyres
There's so many tyres out there theres an amazing choice, a lot guys in
the 300 club, myself included, use the Toyo T1S as an excellent
price/performance compromise [which when you consistently spend $2000 on
a set of tyres it changes yer perspective!] If you talk to the guys who
seem to know what they're talking about the Bridgestone S02/S03 seem to
be the best for road use, superior turn in and grip, much stiffer than
the Toyos.
I've used Toyo T1S's, Bridgestone G-Grids, and Yokohama AVS S1zs, also
driven on Toyo RA1's, unbelieveable stiffness/turn in, and Kumho
Ecstas..(I've never heard anything good about them... ), and had a very
short breif encounter with some older Goodyear Eagles (but not the new
F1's or whatever they're called), absolutely scary but I don't know what
Eagles you're talking about as I think theres a few different designs. A
friend has the Yoko AVS Sports and his car rides really well with nice
turn in.
A mate with an Elise runs on the Toyo's as well and seems to like them,
I should try and dig up his comparison against the Pirelli's that the
Elise comes out with.
For my mx5 when I get it (t-6 weeks yeharr) I'll probably stick it
straight on RA1s/A032Rs, or if I like driving it on the road too much a
set of S03's. Gotta be a heck of a lot cheaper than buying 275/40/17's
My .2bar worth anyway
