Do you have to do anything to care for a soft top roof? Having a new one it
would be good to keep it looking that way for as long as possible. I see some
get sun faded and some I looked at had mildew growing inside their roofs.

DON"T use silicone products. My upholsterer has recommended a NZ product
based on beeswax and avocado oil. If you are interested I will get the
details (it's out in the garage at the moment). Leaves everything looking
good and is economical which is just as well as it is not cheap.

The stuff I am now using was recommended by zorruno Anderson (an upholsterer
here in In'gill) and came from Don Gill at the Regent Street Dairy in
Invercargill. He's got a great stock of car stuff there. It's called
"Goodlook" made by a firm in the NI called "Kitchen Adventures Ltd" and cost
$26 for a pottle about equal to 4 shoe polish tins. If you can't track it down
in ChCh I can get some for you. They have a website but don't list that
product - or didn't when I looked last.
