Could you please help me out.
The lady have been sitting in the garage for 2 months for some modifications
including a new set of wheels 16", and after the wheelalignment I took her for
a test at the motorway. But I feel the Speedo don't show right, as I
remembered, at 100km/h I had 3000rpm but now I needed 3500rpm to get to
100km/h so if anyone could do a check how many rpm you have at 100 should be a
good help.
According to tyrecalculator at www.miata.net it should be only 1,4% difference
between previous tyrediam. and the new ones .

100kph on the speedo should always be at the same revs (for same gear)
irrespective of wheel size - the speedo takeoff point is in the drivetrain
before the wheels (just before the diff, I think) and so is unaffected by
wheel size. The speedo has no idea how fast you are actually going - it
just knows how fast the drivetrain is spinning & therefore how fast you
should theoretically be travelling if you had standard size wheels.
Changing wheel size will, however, mean that your roadspeed is not the same
when your speedo indicates 100kph.
Off the top of my head, I can tell you that my car indicates about 60kph at
2000rpm in 5th gear (I know this because I have an exhaust rattle at this
rpm). True speed, off the GPS, is about 55kph (I've got stock rims).
