Stereo upgrade (long)Unclassified

Post by GYDE STEPHEN,SGT » Mon Aug 27, 2001 12:52 pm

I recently put a stereo in my '92. A ten inch in the boot, two
61/2" three ways in the "parcel tray" behind the seats and a 5 1/4"
component set in each door. The sub is Pioneer, 6 1/2's Fusion, 5
1/4's Kenwood, the head unit is a Kenwood as is the CD
changer. The head unit drives a power acoustic amp which drives
the sub. The 6 !/2's are driven off the rear outputs from the head
unit with the fronts driven off the front outputs.

The spare tyre is relocated under the boot at a cost of $250
including removing the cat and using an XR8 coby + muffler. The
enclosure for the sub takes up this area through to the back of the
front seats and runs across the front of the boot.

Minimum space is lost and whilst I haven't yet taken it too a sound
off it does sound good, for confirmation ask Ross Harvey.

Taught myself to fiberglass and spent 3weeks of after work late
nights with the boot off and my head inside with the fumes
(recommended if you really want to relax). Anyone who wants
details or photos e-mail me : stephen.gyde@NZDF.mil.nz
