Afraid I have no idea what the problem might be, but congratulations and
welcome to the MX5 fraternity. Glad to hear you've got some sun - Auckland is
horrible right now. Mind you, we've had a fair bit of correspondence in here
about the speed you need to go to keep the top down in the rain - perhaps
you'll be able to advise us about critical speeds in the snow when the winter
comes!

I'm sure someone else will have useful technical input for you - this is a
great resource.
