Wiring Headrest speakers - (Was Re: Speakers)

Check the impedance of your speakers. If they are 4 Ohm, I wouldn't
recommend wiring them in parallel unless your new head unit amp supports 2
Ohm loads - see my email from jan 2001

Don't know what the impedance of the speakers is, but the DC resistance at
the head unit connector was around 4ohms (with them paralleled) so decided
to take the easy route and leave them that way. The wiring is fairly light
as well, so I doubt you would get the impedance low enough to be a problem
with most units. Good point though. My Sony is rated at 50 watts into 4ohm
load.

ahh yes - factory headrest speakers - they are 8 Ohm. For some reason I
thought you had changed them for new ones sorry...
