Thats quite interesting,
i ran Splitfire plugs in my supercharged car for 2yrs without any problems, and i
certainly drove on them pretty hard, there's always two sides to a story a lot of
people have played with boost pressures over the last 6yrs which could mean the Splitfires
may not have the correct heat range, but when the rumours started i must admit i
changed to platinum tipped plugs which i still use, and i change them every 3000-4000k
which i consider a must for boosted engines for what they cost, another reason for
failure could be, people may try to do big mileage on them,
oh! and out of interest, on track days i use colder plugs and increase the fuel pressure.

Splitfire
Hi Ray,
It just shows how different peoples experiences can be. My car detonated
terribly with splitfires, I now use Bosch platinum plugs, one range colder
than stock and use them for all driving, believe it or not they're 3 years
and 60,000km old. I just check the gaps once or twice a year.
