My car has its back end jacked up and the front lowered so that the ride is
real hard.
I know there was a lot of talk on this list a while back on the subject and
ways of identifying if the correct suspension springs were fitted to the
correct ends of the car. i.e. colour codes marks of the springs.
I checked mine at the time but was unable to find any mark o n any of my
springs.
My springs are all painted gloss black colour, is this the usual colour? If I
knew the original springs were fitted I would get a spring compressor and swap
them around to get the car level, but I don't really want to do that if
they're the completly incorrect springs.
Any advise appreciated
Thanks
Mike
Springs again.
Springs again.
Mike,
a quick check is to count the coils, stock springs are black, FRONT has approx
6 coils, and the REAR has approx 8 coils, if they are the wrong way round the
front springs will virtually be compressed, and don't forget a front/rear
wheel alignment when corrected.
good luck
