Two Questions

How rare is my 1992 MX5 S Special 1600, black, with Nardi wheel, BBS wheels,
bilstein shocks, s special mats, factory wind break, and soft top cover?

Where can I get a new soft top at a reasonable price?

I'd say with a car like that, you wouldn't be worrying about getting a soft top at a reasonable price, you would just be wanting "the best!!!"
I have no idea how rare it is, but it sounds great!

I also don't know how rare your s-special is, and I guess it comes down to how
many were produced, and then how many have been imported into NZ (presuming it
is Japanese in origin). Several people have told me that the new import
regulations will keep pre '95 cars out as new imports, so some of these older
specials will only become more rare as time goes by. As a fellow owner of a
black MX I must say I think they look particularly good in black, though a bit
of a pain to keep looking clean and shiny- but worth it! If you have any
photos in digi format I would be keen to see, I don't think you can post them
on the e-list but to my personal email address would be appreciated. Does
your car have the MSSS? Or anyone else got one for that matter? I have the
'thumpers' in the seats but not connected as the MSSS has been replaced. Any
comments from owners/ users?
And a shout-out to all liquorice jellybean owners.

Hey William

Ques#1
If you plan on selling it, then I guess 'how rare it is' is important. If
not that then why care, just enjoy it!
Ques#2
I went to Ross' web site for the first time this week and I must say I was
impressed. Why not give him a go?

try Jeff Walker @ E xecutive Automotive & Electrical. 09-3585004, 5 Gundry
St, Newton, Auckland (just off K road)

I have had extensive mechanical and electrical jobs done by him, along with
the company I work for. Excellent guy, top work, and damn good rates.

He used to be mobile but set up a shop approx a year a go. (he'll even drop
you at work and pick you up if you work downtown!)

Tell him i refered you and said that he'd do your repairs at a damn good
price. (mention my skyline and now the mx5 - he'll know who you mean)

kiaora all from the winterless north (who am I kidding? :-p) Sorry to take
you down a grim emotional path but... has anyone ever rolled their
roadster? I have no rollbar protection and Im wondering how strong the wind
shield framing would be in such an event.
