Upper Hutt Event

Post by philip.b » Sun Jan 13, 2002 10:31 pm

Hi there,

I'm currently in the process of joining the club, and noticed on the Upper Hutt
City Council's Community Calendar that there's an MX5 car show scheduled for
26th and 27th January at Harcourt Park. Can anyone tell me if this is an Upper
Hutt branch event, and if it's still on? (It's not mentioned on the club site.)

Thanks,

Philip

Sorry, don't know about the car show, but I assume that Ross Harvey, the
club's Upper Hutt local coordinator will be having something to do with it.

Ross - you around?

Hi Guys
It was cancelled months ago but council stuffed up.
We are looking at running it next year.
Anyone wanting further details can give me a buzz.

buzz!! Don't forget to get details to Bill for Top Down! Even if it is a
year away - no harm in letting people know with a small note in the mag :)

keep up the good work!

PS - would you happen to have any centre console surrounds of reasonable
quantity (stereo surround)? A friends one broke on their 91
PPS - don't forget to send back the note re the local group membership money
sharing scheme - I think there is over $100 in there for Upper Hutt that
needs to be spent.

Hi,
I am in the process of joining the club too - been on the list for a couple
of weeks and it's great to see everyone getting on great together, a few
hits below the belt I saw, but it all seems in good fun.I have got some good
tips too - I love the idea of not getting wet after 50 - 80 kmh!
I read the article in Driver magazine about the supercharged yellow machine
- it is great, well done to the person who bought it.
I am in Taranaki so I guess my nearest group would be Wanganui (Manawatu),
anyone else in that group? Would be great to get to know you all - I am very
involved with my childrens school etc organising fundraising etc, I am
definately keen to help out and help organise any events, there doesn't seem
much going on in this part of the country?

Look forward to any replies
Chrissy

Hi zorruno, hope the new year is treating you and your's favourably.
I have new radio/heater surrounds at $150 delivered.They have gone up $5.
Please explain in more detail re:money sharing.I have been paying for the
hall hire for our monthly meetings out of my own pocket.I am in the process
of raffling the gold chain I won and proceeds can go back to our chapter. Not
that a hundred bucks won't go astray. Is there anything in particular we have
to spend it on?
Kind regards...Ross Harvey
