how do you plan on removing the alloy headcrabs biting the top of each engine? (the one on the left especially looks like a headcrab)

maybe a crowbar?

Had nothing to do Friday night so called a couple of mates around and installed a Racing Beat front swaybar and some supermiata endlinks (not really needed but coilovers hopefully coming soon so will need the adjustability).

A cramped car port and working with 3 indoor lamps, 2 tiny light bulbs in the car port and each of our phones for lighting we ended up finishing the whole thing at 12 (started at 8... yea we work slow lol). Took the car for a shakedown run till 3 AM. And am now posting this after a shower.

My arms are now thoroughly beaten but I have forgotten how much fun it is to work on this car haha. Now time for bed....... uuuurrrgggghhhh

have always been a fan of the machine gun with attached grenade launcher myself.

or noob tube, as it later came to be known i guess :D

anyway, there are few problems that cant be resolved with sentences ending in the words 'or eat grenade!'

yeah me too. the BP is from an NB so its got VICS... well actually the VICS actuator is broken, and i dont have an RPM switch. but potentially it has VICS :P

as for the clutch - what does everyone think? i have the one that came with the BP, which looks in decent nick, and the one attached to my old B6. im under the impression the B6 flywheel is a fair bit lighter (though with a smaller clutch plate as a result)

wondering if i should reuse my B6 flywheel etc for a bit of extra revviness

I'm sure that rattle came from behind the dash....

A productive saturday: Replaced the heater matrix and sorted out my dodgy wiring/rats nest - it appears my car has had 3 alarms in it, each installer leaving a little of the previous guys work... leaving me with LOTS of very average joins and LOTS of tape, sticky cruddy nasty gooey tape.
Pretty happy, it took 5hrs and i can now direct air and/or heat to different places! and im more confident my car isn't a electrical fire waiting to happen.

My car looked like that once when I swapped over to an NB dash. Used the time to tidy up the wiring but in the time since, I have made a mess again :p

I do hope to not have to pull the dash out again as I've gotten lazy lately
