And I think $2,750 is too high to start with, even with a groom.
I wonder what price they traded it at?

We arent making a profit off the sale. As i said, it was a trade in to seal a more expensive deal.

Being honest - take off the MX5 alloy sill plate in pic 16 and you are likely to find a gaping hole of rust judging by the pic... Don't wanna ruin the sale Ashleigh but might pay for your guys to check

Work is selling an mx5 trade in. They seem to be pretty flexible on price, it was only obtained to secure a sale.

Can call at work and ask for me if you have any questions or wanted to look at it.

Hmmm the only thing that looks familiar in that engine bay is the engine, headlight adjusters and the brake thing top left.

As per many other major Auckland dealers, our lower vehicles are sold in an as is/where is condition. I'm currently working in fleet, not sales - this includes trademe listings. This vehicle was put up on the site as an expression of interest to whoever may be interested in the vehicle for whatever reason. If you have issues with the vehicle listed I can kindly forward you on to my dealer principle.

Cheers.

That sill rust is a common problem. The sill plates are held on with screws and double side tape that absorbs moisture and causes the rust.
Most times just superficial surface rust,Ive never seen it rust through and make a hole.

^ All very valid comments.

And all comments enough for me to think "If I could get it for 2k then it'd be worth my while" but, it's a dealership.

I'd think anyone who's interested can presumably take a closer look themselves and raise it with the dealer...

Exactly, just pointing it out for

a) Anyone who's interested and not aware of the common issue and
b) Ashleigh if whoever is dealing with the car cares to be aware

Wanna make a build thread for my newly purchased 98 RS. What's the best forum for it? Or just chuck it in the what's arrived today?

Not sure where the "what you've done this weekend" thread has gone but after two years my nb interior swap is finally finished after I sat down and looked at some wiring diagrams for the electric mirrors and somehow they work properly now :-D

Oh and finally wired up my interior lights after about as long... Need to find where I put the plug to finish that one off. Feeling productive. Might think about an oil change

Well done Angreal, a lengthy swap but full marks for not giving up.
As for the 'tomtikki style' interior lights - pics or it didn't happen!

As for the tomtikki style interior lights, Yes I did that 4 LEDs in the interior mirror worked a treat ( sorry no photos as sold the car)
Thanks tomtikki
I didn't make a mistake. I gave you a observation test and you JUST passed.

Thought since I have 55 series tyres (massive compared to some of you ;) ) I'd liven them up a bit with some painted lettering. This is after around 2 month of daily/hard driving and I'm thoroughly impressed. Nothing Repco/supercheap/paint shops could offer could even come close to this $1.50 pen from China. (Free shipping too)

Minute cost but big difference in my eyes.
