Looks nice...just reminds me about your CV boots rubbing because I also put in new CV joints when I put in my 1800 diff.Luckily the new boots were one coil shorter so now just clears.

{which reminds me...maybe I should have another look since I drove it to Cambridge last week-end]! :D

Speaking of CV's, was told yesterday that my inner ones are apparently stuffed, so going to have to find somewhere to sort those out.

With the help of SPRSTA (ok, he did the job completely while I moved house) have got new Energy Suspension bushes and go them put in, well almost as the kit turned up with a couple of the sleeves missing, so trying to get the missing ones from 949 Racing.

Yep, might need to borrow a garage, since don't have one till later in the year.

Still haven't heard anything back from 949 Racing at this stage, and was there any other bushes you reckon I should do ontop of the ones already done?

Somehow me thinks the guys that put the diff in aren't going to be too forthcoming with information in regards to what bushes they are.

Seem to remember something about being Subaru Legacy one's used somewhere along the line

Little toy/experiment I setup, can you ever have too much information, this is about 1/4 of what I can setup to display. Excuse shaky video.

plan is to get a 7" tablet, take out the stereo, mount the tablet in it's place, and then figure out how to wire the table to an amp so I can use it as my stereo/sat nav/ guages.

Been playing around a little with the tablet and the OBDII output, seems cruising along I have an intake temp of up to 60 degrees, and don't even want to know what it gets up to when sitting at the lights.

Thinking I am going to have to sort out my intake situation.

Mad panic Thursday, got Terry at ADL to have a look at my inner CV's (his motor went pop at the Cannonball by the way, has a new motor just going into it), and he confirmed they were shot, so had some decent replacement's and got them put in before heading down to Taupo for a track with it on the trailer.

Pissed down for most of the day on the Friday for the track day (except for the hour the marshal's took for lunch) so didn't really get to test anything.

However, did play a bit with the OBD app on the drive in the MX5 (yes went down on a trailer, had to drive it back because of a friend that put their SR20DET powered MX5 into a barrier) and found out an interesting thing.

Cruising along the motorway, intake temp was 59C, popped up the lights and it eventually dropped to 34C. Was wondering whether the drag with the lights outwayed the benefit of the cooler air intake.

Anyway, going play around with these and see if they get as good a result or if one is better than the other.

Wouldn't a cold air intake system be better?...that's what I would be doing as it will potentially up your HP a little too, from the ram -air effect.

Funny you should mention that, but yes, that is one of the things that will be happening, the vent thing is just a short term measure till the other unit is in an running, which I just have to do a couple of other little things for this little puppy is ready to go in

Only any good if you are running a LSx motor, but I guess with a bit of extra pipe work, might be able to get it sorted out for a different engine.

You won't like the price tag for it.
