1997 Eunos SR Edition

Post by Arnold500 » Wed Jun 21, 2017 10:00 pm

Hi

I've just acquired a 1997 Eunos SR Edition (only available in Japan, a thank you to the local Japanese market to mark the NAs 8th anniversary), its based on an m-edition, with Torsten LSD, black and grey leather interior, chrome mirrors, momo steering wheel with airbag. Weighing in at 999kgs. They made 700, 382 in Chaste White and 318 in Spsrkle Green, about half manual and half automatic. Checking the VIN, it turns out that this car was the 14th to last NA made on 28/10/1997. Who else has one here in NZ. Keen to hear from anyone.

OT: Interested on how you can check the VIN number to see when the MX5's were built etc.
I have an early 1989 and have tried to followed other leads regarding how to read to the (NZ) VIN number but nothing really matches up.
