NC Hard top rarity?

Post by divxmaster » Wed Jan 11, 2017 9:50 am

Hi,
I've have a NC hardtop that I want to sell - looking around they seem extremely rare, zero for sale on ebay in usa, zero on trademe and one on ebay aussie at $3300AUD!

Am I right in thinking they are rare, or do they just not sell?
Although I am just seeking information here - to save anyone asking, its dark grey, mint condition, NC 2005+

Cheers,
Mike.

I'm wondering if 2low2c is thinking of NA/NB hard tops. I have been looking at getting an NC on and off for 6 months or so. I've never seen an NC with a hard top and I've never seen any hard tops for sale in NZ. A lot of people in the states and UK end up paying $2500-$3000 (usd) to get them new from the dealer but various different sources will tell you they're no longer available brand new. Hard to say what it's worth over here as the market is so small. In my opinion the NC looks fantastic with a hard top, much better than the stupid power retractable hard top.

Simonmx5 i am not mistaken it was actually sold twice as the first guy who bought it thought it was for a na not an nc, it was winning blue.

Interesting. Good to know there's some in the country! Would hate to think what shipping from the states or UK would be on one of those.

Thanks, will list it on trade me in the next few days.
Will be a lot more than $1200 though!

Cheers,
Mike.

I guess it's rare as, unlike the NA/NB, there was the option of the retractable hardtop so people that wanted a hard roof simply got that model, people that didn't got the softtop and only a small number of people who wanted both purchased a hardtop.

1200 is a bit low. The last two that sold in Aussie sold for $1450 and $1500 and they were only NA/NB tops, no rear demister either.
But I will keep you in mind.

If you can come up to $1450 I would be interested. Buyer pick up though, wairarapa.
