Tall people in an Nb

Post by Albertouy » Thu Oct 06, 2016 6:34 pm

Hey guys, is there someone out there over 6 foot-182cm tall that owns an Nb?. I'm interested in one of them but being 187cm and 90kg I'm a bit worried, have you guys have any trouble fitting in it or something you can live with it.

I'm 6.2 and I don't have any problems. With a half cage it makes it a bit of a mission but not impossible

Might depend on the version of the NB and your proportions. I'm 183cm and 1untwpgh kg and I found the a 1998 NB with leather seats nearly undriveable.

I needed the seat all the way back and even then it was cramped and my left leg was pressed into the steering wheel the whole time. When I tried to drive it with a helmet, I made a dome in the soft top.

I found the same with the NB Millenium Edition with leather seats
At 6'1" head knocking against the hardtop but a NB RS with normal seats .... plenty of room

6 foot 4/5 ish here.. stock NB RS, legs are constantly hitting the steering wheel. so i hae a bucket seat and smaller dished steering wheel so I fit alg now
Don’t confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other.

I'm only 6 foot but found the steering wheel sat directly between my knees in my NA which was pretty annoying. Fitted a 35mm spacer (which I guess does about the same thing as a dished wheel) and it made such a huge difference to how it feels to sit in the car. I would put spacer or dished wheel at the top of the mod list for taller people.

I'm 6'2" got a '99nb with leather seats. There's an art to getting in and out but it's worth it.

6'3" here - it's definitely doable both as a street car and for motorsport use.

Things that will help make it more livable:
- foamectomy for street seats or lower fixed back seats
- smaller steering wheel
- removing the centre console makes the interior roomier

6'4" here - on my old NB I did - foamectomy, small Momo steering wheel (although never got the airbag removal certed!) and also removed drivers door pocket/handle for my right knee.

Slightly more room in my NA, still did foamectomy and put the Momo wheel in...
