mx5 cup holder

Post by zoom zoom » Sun Aug 28, 2016 8:52 pm

my na doesn't have cup holders(which is bloody annoying when you're trying to drive whilst drinking a coffee)so is there any other mazda models which have the same type of cup holders which fits in place of the ash tray?

Those type are not too convenient if you're doing quite a few gear
changes as they get in the way of your arm.
Have one of these installed on the transmission tunnel just forward of
the brake lever. Got it from a marine/boat supplier locally, about $6
iirc. One of our Fives has two installed, one each side, but generally
onle one is used

There is always the free solution of simply removing the top cover of your ash tray, ( might have to pull off the little grate) and installing the top cover back to front, depending on your cup it can work pretty well, fits a fast food style plastic cup rather snugly. I use mine mainly for a phone holder though that would depend on the size of your phone.

just did that today and it fits both small and large takeaway cups-works a treat.
