Post by natsroy79 » Fri Apr 01, 2016 2:12 pm

Hi I have bought my first na 1600 and really enjoying it but I have a small problem it has a dead spot just off idle I have changed the plugs, leads, pcv valve, air filter and fuel filter and its still there and if I'm not careful it can make taking of at the intersection a bit scary cos it will stall momentarily so any advise would be a great help cheers

Clean your throttle body butterfly valve and check your intake piping for cracks/leaks. Maybe even clean the ISC valve if still persistent.

If you're good with a multimeter you could check that your TPS switch is working properly. Normally when the idle switch opens the ECU will fire the injectors twice to prevent it from leaning out (similar to an accelerator pump in a carburettor)
