Engine Problem, Need Help

Post by Brad97 » Tue Aug 25, 2015 6:34 pm

I came home from work and noticed white smoke/steam coming from under the hood, so I popped the hood and the smoke/steam was coming from the intake side. Once I turned the engine off I could hear boiling and noticed all the coolant had boiled into the reservoir tank. But the temp gauge was fine. Not sure what is wrong, need help please

Severely blown head gasket. pull off the head and see how warped it is. Your probably best off replacing the engine.

edit: make sure it is coming from under the head first. tbh iv never heard of something this sever. could just be hose/radiator leak or something. see if there is coolant in your oil.

Could it be that the cap is old and its leaking through there as the coolant is still green and it is leaking from the cap
