Sweet Skills Wrap It Man!!!..... That is a true transformation from the relic lying on my deck the other day. Glad it came to use rather than going in the bin. The garnish MAZLINE supplied me was a much easier option for my requirement at the time. :D

Its Always a pleasure to see a freshly painted engine bay when a fresh motor goes in. It definitely helps to set the look up front. Just another component of detail. Well done!

You probably don't want to hear this after all that work, but you've put the wrong engine back in the car!

After being overseas for a few weeks and then a while of deciding not to 'play' with my new car, ive decided to start to do little things.
started on changing the KG Works Cluster from the spare car, To Black rather than the wood-grain that it came with.
started with this:

then after a bit of a heat gun:

And then adding Matt Black Vinyl, if this doesnt work too well im going to paint a wrinkle finish.

Hopefully start on new door cards in the next week and get ordering my new Gauge faces!

Cheers Matt

Started this cool little mod today...

Image

Sanded off the raised markings that where holding the polish residue and they came up rather nice. Using wet n dry started with 350 then 600, 1000, 1500 and 2000. Still looked too dull for my taste even with a good polish so then pulled out the "Micro Mesh" at 3200, 6000, 8000 and 12000 lastly a final going over with some swirl remover.

I have just 1 rear brake light to finish before I fit them on.

And yes I know this one is chipped, this one is a spare that I used first to try it out... really didn't feel like stuffing it all up eh?

very nice effort Fooesboy, they look much better. Myself personally I just painted the front ones black as you don't need them for a WOF (but you must have the red reflectors at the back) and after seeing how nice yours turned out, I am very tempted to give my rear red reflectors some similar TLC :) Today I crawled out of bet at 3:30pm to get a WOF and discovered that my shiney new screws had arrived so after passing the WOF I put them in to replace the old slightly corroded OEM screws....

thank you GRUVBB! :)

now in the remaining time I have left I am going to make a start changing my suspension over (its all fun and games til someone skins a knuckle)

I have 2 more sets of steering wheel screws in stainless if anyone is keen on some. PM me if you are keen. Like the ones MrGrey has just fitted today as above.
