MX5 Turbo - any recomendations?

Post by Liam_Irl_NA » Mon Nov 11, 2013 12:23 pm

Hi All,

I havent been a hugely active member(although I trawl around the forum quite a bit)

I recently bought a green MX5 turbo from Auckland(got a good price) Unfortunately the previous owner seems to have put a new engine in and cut some corners which have now caused a few problems such as an alternator that wasnt correctly tensioned to the bracket thus causing a few hiccups on the trip home..

Does anyone have any recomendations of good mechanics in the wellington area that is familiar with +T'd cars?

The original plan was to turbo my red NA but impulse got the better of me! Not sure if I am allowed to say it but if there is anyone after a really tidy NA then I would be happy to give first refusal to a member.

Cheers
Liam

Cheers dude, it is still a good one. Just had a new engine put in and it seems to have been rushed so I will be getting new belts/pump and seals sorted.

The plan is to build up another engine anyway - just hadnt forecasted needing to do these things to a 'new' motor!

Lets see if I can get it running well enough for Hampton Downes 12hr '14!
