Cheers for the txt reminding me about this dude!

Looking like I'm going to be carless. No, not careless, carless.

Sorting out some personal things etc.

So chances are, I will not be attending this. However, I am willing to continue to organize something for those of you that are keen - Hell, I might even talk to a couple of the guys from the MX5 club that we met yesterday.

So, final roll call to see if this should continue to go ahead.

Please post below if you are interested in attending a spirited drive, or even a nanna drive, from Auckland, down to Raglan, then back via Hamilton.

Shall we see what destination people are keen on heading to? I reckon the coromandel roads are awesome for the 5s with all the corners. Would make for some great photos of a line of snaking 5s winding through the various beaches etc.... Just a thought. Ive done a few drives to Whitianga and then up thru Coro and its great. Good to beat the HSVs in those tight corners.
Plenty of cafes etc along the way to stop off for refreshments...... Just a thought. Not trying to derail original plan. :?: any destination will be fun if participants turn up for it.

You know what GRUVBB

Your idea is shit.

Fuck you.

No, that's not a bad idea at all! If anyone participated in the Cannonball Run this year you will know that some of the roads that consisted of went through coro.

I'll grab the maps when I get home tonight.

Brilliant idea GRUVBB - head to whitianga for lunch or something =]

Ha Ha Ha. You trolling for a +1 Chris?????
Without being pushy..... A good run is along the Kaiaua coast trom clevedon. This is usually a good blast when returning from down that way. some good corners and not too much traffic or police activity.
Could hook through Te Aroha way and pick up Fooesboy and MattBRG. Swing through whitianga way. Up the eastern side and over to Coro. Plenty of good photo stops all around the coast.
Has anyone got some great roads or stop offs that they would like to post on here for consideration (or to be ridiculed at by Chris  )

That's not the problem, it's that no one wants Chris to be their passenger.

Lol that was quite funny.. Half throttle annnnnnd the traction is gone.

But no, as I stated sorting things out in my life is a priority.

So I will help organize this but that's it! :)

How about this for a cruise route...... Leave South Auckland and head out through Hunua Gorge through Ararimu and connect onto Highway 2 at Mangatawhiri.... Head along Hauraki Plains to Kopu.... Meet up with Hamilton and Te Aroha cruisers if they wish to tag along.... Head over Hikuai Hills.... Up to Whitianga.... Head north and over to Coromandel.... Back down on western side to Thames.... Back over Hauraki Plains to Waitakaruru.... Turn right and head up through Kaiaua following the Firth Of Thames coastline.... Through past Orere Point and Kawakawa Bay and back into South Auckland again at probably Hill Rd Manurewa or over Mill Rd and Redoubt Rd and come out at Manukau City Centre :?: Just an idea as Chris will be busy so someone needs to take control and put some ideas on the forum. Im open for criticism or constructive ideas. ill turn up wherever the destination is. Good to go somewhere where we don't have to travel back down the roads we already travelled on in the morning

Im Old School.... Dont have Facebook.... Someone else can post there if we get a consensus on destination..... Lets see what peoples feelings are on this as an outing and revisit it in a couple of days. If people wish to attend or comment then how about do so by thursday or friday. If enough are keen we can then post on Facebook and confirm it..... The view count is at 819 so we can sort t of see how much traffic is looking at this or maybe they are repeat viewers.... Time will tell.
