I'm baaaaaaaaack!

Post by m4vr1k » Sat Jun 22, 2013 4:23 pm

After selling my beloved Mazdarati, I endured 6 months of driving assorted awful Hyundais. It was an horrific experience, however I purchased this wonderful machine today

If anyone can give me some info on which exact model I have, I would appreciate it.

I look forward to driving a decent car again. I really do. I will give her a good scrub, cut and polish tomorrow and weather dependant I will get some good photos.

If anyone has any BBS mag center caps, I need three please.

It's nice to be back.

Zac

If you smile at them nicely and catch them when not busy, your local dealer can give you the full ex factory spec of the car if you give them the Mazda chassis number.

It's a high spec one with ABS brakes ,Nardi steering wheel and stainless trim and BBS's,I think you will find it's all factory,
possibly a "C" package

That's a great buy! -I really wish I had ABS in the wet some days... :(

It would cost bugger all to get some rear stays welded onto that bar & you'll have yourself a nice non mousetrap roll bar!
(assuming it's steel aye :? )
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

I guess the moral of the story is to never sell your mx because you'll always come crawling back? :D I know I could never sell mine as the car isn't really like how it was when I first bought it

I would love one, but they are probably a bigger problem for tall people than the MX5.

I am after a few bits and pieces if anyone can assist. I need a gear knob, 2x window regulators and a glove box. I will put up a WTB ad for these bits too.

Its been nice driving a VLSD equipped Mx5 in the rain. Much looser in the rear end than my old open-diffed one

I've got my old wooden Nardi gear knob. The varnish is coming off on a few bits though.

There are a few on trade me for quite cheap. Depends what style you're after?

I really just want a stock black one, or there was a billet aluminium one linked on this thread earlier that I quite liked.

I'm in no great hurry to spend money on this car, which has since been named Eddie, since the plate begins with EDY. I did a service yesterday which was a nightmare. Some gorilla had done up the sump plug so tight I had to use my rattle gun to get it off, and the power steering lines made getting the filter off a pain in the ass. But I managed it in the end.
