This one arrived today from CarbonMiata
He forgot to include two more screws fore handle but hey...
(I'm contacting him)
It comes with rivets (I was expecting plastic fastener as he mentioned early day). I need to go find something as I do not want use rivet to fit this.

Any suggestions?

I think hole in car is 8mm and this one comes with 6mm holes.
Maybe fit nylon socket from hardware sore on car and use those 6mm decorative ones?
like one on ebay...

Edit: material is soft and surface is easily scratch but really really light weight. wonder how it will age. in the year time, I'm sure I will polish or paint maybe cover with vinyl sheet ;-)

Agree, They are in process of making a manual window crank handle and I'm keeping eye on it to go with this one. :)

Yesterday I was a dumbass and got an unwanted thing for my car ....

A $300 fine for doing 133km in a 100 zone.
I was clocked at the end of a passing lane and had put my foot down to overtake 3 semi-trailer trucks and a cop came around the corner just as I was passing the "200m to go" passing lane notification sign.

I knew straight away that I had made a mistake and safely pulled over after the passing lanes. I was apologetic to the cop (he seemed like a nice guy) and took my medicine. In light of my apologetic nature, previously spotless driving record and the fact that I immediately pulled over without running, he did me a favor and I only got the fine and no demerit points so its nice to know that there are still some level headed cops out there.

I made a mistake and will pay my dues and not repeat it, but yeah ..... thats what arrived for my roadster yesterday.

How the fuck are you meant to pass at 100 if a) The morons doing 70 who will inevitably drop back to 70 after the passing lane are now doing 100 and/or b) the trucks you're trying to pass are doing 90?
This fucks me right off.

Bonus round: I got one doing 119 somewhere not far north of taupo. Demerits though, 20 of the little bastards.

Where you 200 or about 150 away from the end of a passing lane?
Law clearly states that speed cameras and speed traps/lasers/radar etc
Cannot be used within 150 metres of the end of a passing lane or change of speed zone
And due to the poor training of police - most don't even know that. as I've had to go to court to prove it - (And won)
Of course to go to court to fight it, then it will probably end up costing you three times the cost of the fine - so it's moral not a financial victory
So as Bart Simpson says

Ok - end of my rant
i came across a "safety van" today, at the bottom of a hill in the middle of the Kopu-Hikuai road. only point to pass between the two sections of gorge. poor form i thought.

luckily i was heading home so didn't have the frustration built up in me.

Yeah, that seriously fucks me off.
That's not saving lives at all - That's simply catching people out for no real reason.
What really makes my blood boil is cops sit in concealed places, nick people for doing 4 over or whatever's cool these days, then joke about it with anyone they talk to.

I thought that the vans marked "traffic safety camera" were only allowed to be rego checkers not speed cameras?

Haha believe me I would if it was that easy!

Going to dismantle it and make one at work out of better fabric, this one's kinda nasty.
