Ben I am not 'belittling anyone' simply saying my opinion, knowingly buying plagiarised items: i.e. fake items, supports undesirable activities & stunts the sales/research/development that we all surely want carried out by genuine manufacture.

We (I assume) want products to be improved, we (I assume) don't like people being ripped off - if you want cheap things thats fine buy unbranded cheap things, not items that are cheap yet purporting to be genuine (expensive).

If everyone only bought fake/knock-off/plagiarised product then there would effectively be no future product development by those seemingly few companies manufacturing original/genuine.

I actually never attacked anyone, I never called anyone any names here, I never told anyone to get their head outta their arse & I don't believe anyone would prefer fake to genuine, thats bullshit & we all know it.

[EDIT] I just received an advisory text & 'Yes', of course my bad really.. should not have used this thread for this discussion, my apologies for that - certainly the intention wasn't to hijack a great thread - I'll go stick my head back up my ass as Ben has suggested

I had another present arrive from NicF today, thanks mate :)

Its a wideband sensor which I gather is something you stick in a roast turkey to see whether or not it is cooked properly so its gonna come in very handy

I have also done a deal with a mate for a boost gauge, so piece by piece I am getting everything needed for my turbo setup :)

I do not profess to know alot about cars but I have lived long enough to know about people. This forum has some awesome contributors and its through them that my latest acquisition has arrived... RS-R springs.
The spanner day should be like musical chairs where one member upgrades and passes his previous version on to the next happy owner who can then happily install it in their ride.

I'm a bit late to the party but you might want to check here:

http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/products/pa ... =0&f=2&s=3

On Rays' own website, it's the same wheel nuts, for ¥7,300, the same price.

Not all Rays wheel nuts are their duralumin series, so don't all cost a couple of hundred dollars.

Well, no. I was pointing out that Rays wheel nuts could be bought for the price shown (something Harlan specifically said was not possible) and that accordingly they may very well be genuine; not all Rays wheel nuts are their duralumin series.

I apologise if it came across as shit stirring, but catching up on this thread and coming across this I thought it was worth pointing out and correcting.

I thought Junkwhale might like to know that his wheel nuts may well be genuine, too :?

I didn't say you we're wrong, but clearly you can see how this comes off.

No beef. But that would be awesome if Junkwhales nuts were legit.

I fully agree here.

And that's coming from me..

Now we can start an argument on a new topic, like reviving an argument to stop one person from being butt hurt whilst creating butt hurt towards another forum member.

I have edited my post to be more direct, not that I thought it was particularly uncivil in the first instance. Perhaps tongue-in-cheek, admittedly, and I suppose given Harlan's sometimes "fiery" phrasing of posts that could result in shit being stirred ;)
