I made a template of the shape i wanted and had a friend cut it out of 10mm glass and toughen. Then slipped it into a piece of aluminium channel each side. with rubber window strips to hold it tight. Can be slipped out in under aminute if desired. Utilised existing bolt holes each side. Others have done similar using 10mm pespex. Don't like the ones from MX5 mart as tend to rattle around in the breeze if seats not pushed hard back. Hope this helps.

I have one made up in this style out of a perspex-type material - I'm not
sure if it is perspex, polycarbonate, Lexan or something else. You are most
welcome to borrow it to try it out. I am in Royal Oak, Auckland.

John, the previous owner of my car and David's produced a perspex windblocker that fits between the stylebar and is held in place with velcro ties. Easily removeable. I remember how well the windblocker reduced the draft to the back of the neck and head. I am sure Matt who previously owned our cars wouldn't mind you taking a look at his cardomain site www.cardomain.com/ride/241633/3
I checked it out this morning and it is still up and running

Mine is slightly different in that it fits in front of the style-bar and runs the full (internal) width of the car. It is only held in place by gravity really - and the fact that it is located by sliding in to channel screwed to the car at each end.

you don't need to do all the way up. its a law of diminishing returns. you are trying to stop the air coming in from the back and not the air over the top of the car front to back. up to the top of the seats is plenty tall enough.

Hmm that is about the same height, I think it will look abit weird going half way up the style bar.

David, apologies for assuming Matt had sold you the car with the same windblocker he had manufactured for mine.

No worries at all. In truth, on the day we swapped cars we pu the two next
to each other and pulled them apart and put them back together agian with
the bits we each wanted to keep. Thnaks for the thought though.

I have an MX5mart windblocker, but instead of using the flimsy upholstery plugs it came with to mount it I used bolts and big flat washers which holds it much more solidly.

I have same idea. Could you share what size bolt you have used?

At moment I have those nylon archer and metal screw with large washer. Not quite steady enough for my liking, as the nylon archer is not quite right size. But it's better than that large carpet clip.

Wind broker is working reasonably well, I haven't tried another so I can not compare, ...but... from the no blockers, it's totally different.

I forget what size bolt sorry - I think they were leftovers from a tardme shortshift kit I bought and then removed after the bushings fell apart, but I might have drilled the existing holes out slightly to fit them.

Sorry if thats not much help, best way is probably just to pop one of the plugs out and try a selection of bolts to see what fits the same hole.
