You could try emailing Keith at flyin Miata in the
states. they developed thier own software for this
plug in link on the MX-5 and have had a lot of
experience with them . Maybe theyve come accross this
problem.

I seem to remember another case like this (on miataforum) which was due to a bad circuit trace (?) on the board somewhere. The FM software is miles ahead of Link's ... better boost control and timing granularity (0.25 vs 1.0 degree) for starters :)
