about twice what they claim, and what they claim is straight out of the
twightlight zone.
There is no way this thing could poke that much air into 5+PSI and only
draw 2.7A @12V.

The real electric super chargers spin *really* fast and need a beefed up
alternator and
electrical system to cope.

It's dredging the dim depths of my memory, but i seem to recall the electric
turbo-supercharges draw in the order of 150A @ 13.8V. Even at that
current, they only supply a few PSI at low RPM, just to liven things up
a bit.
Hardly seems worth it, really.

yep, consider that the Jackson Racing/Eaton
superchargers take ~30hp IIRC to turn at redline...
which is 20-something kW. That bathroom fan uses
<35W, not even taking into account the conversion
losses in going thru the alternator.

Might make more torque at idle though ;)

Argh! Can the electrics handle that sort of current continuously, or
if you use it for more than a couple of minutes, do you have to
replace the battery (and cabling, switchgear etc) cos it's melted ?

Err, no. You are not meant to use it for minutes at a time.

I suspect the designers did *NOT* have the pikes peak time trial
in mind when they bolted a high speed motor onto half a turbo.
