I forgot - at yesterday's Dents Day several members kindly drew my attention
to the fact that I appeared to be running on slicks. Very happy that the time
has come to address this, as the Japanese-spec Bridgestones which were on the
car when I got it were never that good.

Reading all the previous comments, I think I will go either for Grid 3's or
Yokohama 539's. Anyone got any comments to offer about their relative merits
or suggestions as to where to go in Auckland or the North Shore for the best
price? I don't commute much so the car is used a little bit for shopping trips
and enjoyable longer runs with fairly hard cornering. Suspension, engine are
totally standard.

We've got 539's on my wife's Skyline, no complaints so far, wear's good, grip
and feel also good. It is about 300 kilo's heavier than an MX though.

I've been impressed with my Grid IIs: good grip dry and wet, not noisy,
they are wearing extremely well, and the guys at Firestone on Great South
Road in Newmarket have taken good care of me and my wife (she doesn't drive
an mx5) when it has come to backing up their warrantee, timely service,
etc.

I understand the Grid IIIs are considered better the Grid IIs. Well that my
2 cents for today.
Regards
Bill
