Handbrake lever removal

Post by Mathew » Mon Jan 06, 2003 10:16 am

Isn't it great to be back at work again...Not!!

My wooden handbrake lever is starting to look a bit sad. The clearcoat is scratched off in places so I was thinking of removing it so I could strip it back. Has anyone removed theirs? and is it an easy job. I haven't had a really good look at it yet but there doesn't appear to be anything obvious holding it in place. Is it one of those brute force type jobs.

Matt; If you cant get the handle off (and some are really well stuck on)
its a simple job to remove the handbrake handle assembly. Undo 3 bolts,
unclip the cables and its off. Ross.
