Thanks for the great advice. I just unscrewed both of the original
headrest speakers on the driver's side and they have stamped 4 Ohms and
5 watts!!!
My replacement speaker's specs are "nominal impedance" 4 Ohms,
"continuous power" - 20 watts. Can I assume that the impedance is the
same and the new speakers can handle 4 times the RMS power load?
Also I note stamped on the speakers was RH and LH on the speakers for
the right and left hand side of the headrest, respectively. I assume
that is to make installing the OEMs in-phase?
I think I am "in business" Is that correct???

IIRC, others have said that you can get the DIN sized cubby pocket
thing from either the wreckers or Mazda dealer. Me, I just leave wires
hanging out to deter the low lifes ...
