Cooling water leak... bugger!... & workshop manuals, whi

Post by poison » Sun Dec 12, 2004 8:31 pm

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a better look, stupid as it may seem I can't
even work out which is the pump. Have to resort to the manual.

Also Jeff has said I can get a new pump at Supercheap, don't they just do the
seals??? Secondly I'm booked in next week to Rotary Power for the cam belt,
can anyone give me a link to the crank nose - locktite solution please. And
anyone had any issues with Rotary Power in Glenfield??

By the way for those of you looking for a workshop manual I bought the "Rod's
Mazda Miata 1.6 Litre Enthusiasts Shop Manual", but I wish I'd got the Haynes
one. Rod's is very detailed and great or the beginner, but if you have some
experience and don't want to read screeds of stuff it's hard work to find the
bits you need, thus the Haynes is a better choice. Secondly the Haynes has all
the specs and data at the end of each chapter. Can be a pain when reading
through a section and having to flick back and forth. But with Rod's one if
you just want to know a torque setting or even how much coolant, it kind of
sucks as you have to look through all the text for these details. Also Haynes
has the wiring diagrams. Hope this helps someone decide on a manual.
