An expensive 1997????? NA model for sale....

Fell over this on TradeMe, has to be the most expensive NA model for sale
right now, and they tell us it's a 1997...

it will be an NA (popup lights) not an NB (no popups). 98 was the first
year you could get an NB. The last of the NAs were sold in 96/97.

incidentally, most US miata folk believe there is no such thing as a 98
miata. There were some registered in 98, but they refer to them as '99s
(the year they were registered for, or something equally weird)

I must have one of life's little mysteries then - 1998 MX5 (white) with pop up lights??? Happy if someone could enlighten me...

Hi Nicky. 1997 was the last yr of manufacture of the NA (popup lights). There are a few that were not first registered untill early 1998. So your car will be a series one manufactured 1997 but registered 1998.

Is the interior of yours leather ie two tone black and grey?

Hi Nigel,

I had to go look, no leather and no grey either.. lots of black fabric and almost black (charcoal?) carpets.
