bushes

Post by Martin Harms » Sun Oct 31, 2004 7:32 am

I mailed something like this before but did not see any replies...:

My 1990 NZ new is getting to that point - Has anyone replaced all the
bushes on their MX5? Is Nolathene still the "bee's knees"? Or is there
something else out now? Or should I stick with OE Mazda bushes because
of the special bushing/suspension interaction as described in the "Miata
Performance Handbook"?
Anyone?

The standard bushes are superior to nolathane. Stick with them.

Yeah I went through the same research a while ago, and from everything I could
find it's not worth doing them unless there's a real problem. One book I have
recommends a replacement every xxx Km but much of the books information is a
bit dubious.
