Spark Plugs and Tyres

Post by Paul Murray » Mon Sep 13, 2004 1:57 pm

I have a 90 1.6 with 190k on the clock, Loch Stewart cold airbox and exhaust.
The car is a daily driver averaging 350k per week. The plugs that were in the
car when purchased 50k ago are still in use, the engine runs great, no missing
or rough idle. I would appreciate any feedback/recommendations on any
replacement plugs to use.
Just a quick note on tyres, I have Panasport 185/60R14 mags, initially running
Bridgestone RE710's, the Firestone dealer here in Porirua said that they were
no longer making the 710's in 14 inch. Pity, because they handled extremely
well at the Taupo driver training a while back. GIII's were next up and like
previous list comments were good for 35k. I now have Dunlop Direzza DZ101
(went from Bridgestone to Dunlop as offered a better deal). Looking forward
to the Manfield driver training day Feb 05 to compare the handling.
