Tires
My first post didn't appear so trying again:
ZL3FH??
I recently replaced my Bridgestone GIII's with another set as I found them
quiet, comfortable, good grip and lasted about 35,000km on my standard 1992
car. They seemed to maintain a constant performance over the life of the
tyre as well. ne other member here had a set of cheaper tyres fitted (not
sure of the brand now) and their car was ver unstabl, especially in the wet.
Driving mine in convoy with them and it was very stable.
I'm no racing driver but do drive quite quickly on the windy roads around
Marlborough, especially if I'm by myself. The cost was $165.00 each, fitted
and balanced, a couple of months ago.
Got access to IRLP, Ken? Give us a call on node 6285 sometime.
Off for a topdown drive with the Marlborough club today.
Grant, ZL2BK, in Blenheim.

Colin, the G111's are a fine high performance tyre,
Bridgestone also make a slightly harder and longer lasting potenza tyre,
my local tyre shops do the G.111,s at $149 fitted and balanced and the
others at $129, the fella who owns the place races minis and seems to
know his tyres, for what you were saying re: your requirements they would
probably be ideal, do you want me to find what they are called.??
Cheers jeff.

After reading all the fans of the Toyos on the web, I just got the Toyo TS-1
Proxes (or whatever they're called). $170 each fitted and balanced from
MacLennans Tyres on Willis St in Wellington. (Who seem pretty good.)
So far I've been very happy with them in terms of grip, ride comfort and
noise.
Thomas.
