Heater Core - $$$?

Hi,

How much (roughly) does it cost to have the Heater Core replaced in a '91? I
understand the dashoard has to come out so it might not be cheap...

Hi Nick


A rebuilt core costs around $250. I fixed mine myself in January. Removing
the dash is required. It takes quite a while to do but is not that hard.

I'd say the labour would cost between $350 and $500.

The heater in a car I was looking at buying appeared to pumping inhibitor into
the cabin, so I just wanted to know what I'd be up for. They didn't accept my
offer anyway, so maybe I'll have to post a wanted ad soon...
