Hi all
A request for us down here in Taranaki, we have been invited to attend a
motor show organised by the Taranaki Holden Club - a chance to promote our
club and show off our cars. Does anyone have ropes that we can use to keep
our cars safe at an event like this??
Also if anyone from around the country would like to attend, give me a shout.
Ross, the MX5 mart would be great here??
Its on March 20th - plenty of members that will billet if necessary
thanks for any help

Hi Chrissy,
unfortunate date - it's the same day as the National Motor Show in
Hamilton, which the club is involved and usually have over 15 cars
Gordon.

Have a great day Chrissy - and I look forward to an article for Topdown, see
if you can out do the National Show at Hamilton. From experience at
previous shows, security is not a problem as people are genuinely interested
in the cars and the owners of the cars keep an eye on what is happening. We
have not roped off the cars at all.

They can be hired at huge expense from local expo hire companies. If you get
the ropes and stands, just watch how close to the cars you put them - I once
say a small boy knock a metal stand over and hit the very car it was
supposed to be protecting. As the car in question was Roger Bhatnagaar's
McLaren F1, the resulting damage to the paintwork would not have been cheap
to fix.

Guess we probably don't need them then, I think however it was almost a
requirement for the show but will check, but hey that idea of tieing up the
spectators, can we make it tieing up the kids!!??
