Cambelts

Post by Craig Jones (NZIS) » Wed Feb 11, 2004 4:57 pm

Following the recent list discussions, I've had a look and suspect I need to
get mine sorted - any recommendations for a good mechanic/garage in
Palmerston North?
Also - is it possible to easily transfer soft-tops from one car to another?
I ask because I have an "A" car with a scruffy lid & and a "B" car with a
near-new(I know, greedy sod!) lid.
Thanks,
Craig

CambeltsHi Craig, not sure about mechanic in Palmerston North, but regards
softops, yes it is easy enought to do. I did just that last Saturday. took
about 2 hours total - I have done a lot of tops so dont have to think about it
too much - it just requires knowing what to remove and in what order and what
to look out for. If you want to try it let me know and I will get instructions
and tips to you.

CambeltsNo recommendations from me. I've used several. Motordrome on Tremaine
Ave are pretty good and the dealers on Rangitikei (Palmfield) aren't too bad
either. At least they have seen an MX5 before.
